HI, Please help me write a formula to sort the 10 lowest scores out of the last 20 games and either mark them or copy in the next col.
I can add and average the result.

The real and complete way to calculate HDCP is
5 or 6 games Lowest 1
7 or 8 games Lowest 2
9 or 10 Lowest 3
11 or 12 Lowest 4
13 or 14 Lowest 5
15 or 16 Lowest 6
17 Lowest 7
18 Lowest 8
19 Lowest 9
20 games Lowest 10

But if that's too complicated, I can live with 10 best of 20.
Thanks

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Welcome to the MrExcel board!

We don't know anything about your layout, but see if this helps.
Columns D:W would be your records of the last 20 scores (weekly?)
Columns AK:AL hoses the table to look up how many numbers to retrieve
Column B counts how many scores there have been for the player over the last 20 possible competitions. Formula copied down.
Column C uses the AK:AL table to calculate how many scores to retrieve for the player. Formula copied down.
Y1:AH1 has 1-10 entered manually
Formula in Y2 is copied across to AH2 and down.

Post back with more details &/or sample data if this is not what you need. My signature block below has a link for how to post screen shots like this.

But it seems that you already know that.
In any case I thank you very much for your time and I will make with what I have for now.
Thanks again
