I am in dire need of help.... I am in a GIS class with a homework assignment and in need of help with Arc Catalog. In an excel table I am needing to find and replace blank spaces with an underscore in fields. I would really appreciate some excel help.

Thank you sooo much!

Hello,

If you want to use Find & Replace you can select your starting position by selecting a cell or a range of cells (most likely a column) and then the short cut key is CTRL+H to open the find replace tab, select options in the lower right corner to see advanced options and you can select search Sheet or Workbook, the search by Row or Column and simply put a space in the Find window and a _ in the replace and you can hit replace all. one step through one at a time depending on how much data you have.

*Note save you work first and make a copy before you use any suggestions to find and replace data in a sheet things can go very wrong very fast..
