Hi,

We have recently purchased a barcode scanner to scan all of the products that get delivered to us and what we want to do is check against the delivery note to see if we have received everything on the sheet.

What I am looking at is something along the lines of:

  1. We have a tab with an electronic copy of the delivery note which has the external codes and item descriptions along with what quantity we should be receiving.
  2. We have another tab with what we physically scan e.g. Item, Description, Qty. This would look up the external code from the delivery note tab and return the item description.
  3. Each time we scan the correct quantity as to what should have arrived on the delivery the cell turns green.
  4. If we get any that we don't scan but should be on the delivery they stay a certain colour e.g. yellow.

if anyone could shed some light on this or provide any other ideas of how we could achieve a better result it would be great.

I am a not an expert with excel I can do the odd conditional format and lookup but nothing fancy.

Regards

Luke

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
