How to find Average Score where scores are separated by a dash

I have to find average score for each match but because the scores are in same cell I cannot just use average function Any ideas please?

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Separate the scores using Text-to-Columns. Cant see any other way.
