Looking for something like iferror, but instead iftrue

Does this exist?

Iferror works well in that if the value tested is not an error it returns the value, otherwise if returns something else.
But is there a succinct way to do the same by testing if the value meets some condition - to simply return the value instead of having to retype it

ie.

if(x=y, x, z) - but this can be quite long if the formula for x is long - and seems repetitive
iferror(x,z) - is elegant - but only works if x is an error, I want to use a different test - like x=y for example
