changing color

I need to see if it is possible to change color in a cell if another cell has something in it.

for example if cell a1 has CaCL2 in it, cell a2 will change to the color light blue and if a1 in blank a2 will be blank

Select Conditional formatting
Select new rule
Select Use a formula to determine which cells to format
use this formula

=A1="cacl2"

then select your formatting
click OK
