I want to convert the letter "W" to "5" and the letter "L" to "-5" in a column
Assuming those letters are the only thing in the cells, select the column and then use Excel's Replace dialog box (CTRL+H) to replace the letters with those numbers.I want to convert the letter "W" to "5" and the letter "L" to "-5" in a column
I don't see the letters W or L that you want converted to 5 or -5 in the worksheet sample you posted.
column F
That is different from what you asked originally. Is the criteria to put a W in Column F if Column G's (same row) value is positive and L if negative? If so, what should go in the cell if Column G's value is 0?column F will get the letters either L or W
