sumifs or ifs formula

hello all, i have had help on this before but i have added something new and can't work out the formula

At the moment i have in the won/lost column =IF(E2="1st",F2,0)
What i want to put in that column is the win amount + place amount if they finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd
i hope someone can help, thanks

Maybe:

=IF(OR(E2={"1st","2nd","3rd"}),F2+G2,0)

Hi Eric,
That works great, thanks, but when it is 2nd or 3rd i only need it to add up the place amount only, atm it adds the win as well.
example so if it's 1st i need it to add both win and place and if it's 2nd or 3rd, place amount only in the won/lost column.

=IF(E2="1st",F2+G2,IF(OR(E2={"2nd","3rd"}),G2,0))
