I have a simple spreadsheet that is referencing data that is currently not working (See below).

RESULTS

JanFebMarAprMayJunJul...
London
Liam--*------------

<tbody>
</tbody>

The data is set out such that their are several people making sales from different areas and I just need to sum the sales in January from Liam in London.

DATA

PlacePersonJanFeb...
LondonLiam12
LondonJames34
BirminghamFrank56
ManchesterLiam78
LondonLiam910

<tbody>
</tbody>

* My idea to fill in Jan data for Liam was to use SUMIFS (=SUMIFS('DATA'!C:C, 'DATA'!A:A, "='Results'!A2",'DATA!B:B,"='RESULTS'!B3") however this isn't working - am I doing this completely wrong?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Welcome to the board.

Try

=SUMIFS('DATA'!C:C, 'DATA'!A:A, 'Results'!A2,'DATA'!B:B,'RESULTS'!B3)
