I would like to use the conditional formatting feature with a custom formula but can't get it to work.
What I am trying to do is to highlight a cell [d2] if it is less than 10 BUT only if cell [d5] is ALSO under 50.

Would any one be able to assist me?
Thanks

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Hi & welcome to MrExcel
Try =AND(D2<10,D5<50)

What I was looking to do was highlight d2 IF it was less than 2 but only if D5 was also less than 50.

This seems to highlight if either one is less than..

Do you want to check D2 <10 (as your op) or d2<2 (as post#5)?

In that case the formula supplied should work

It is highlighting D2 as it is less than 10 but D5 is 75 so it should not be highlighted.

Check for other Conditional Formatting rules on the same cell.
I have seen it happen many times where people play around with Conditional Formatting and keep adding rules without clearing out the old rules.
You should only have one Conditional Formatting rule on this cell.

If that is not it, what does this formula return (place in any empty cell)?
Code:
=ISNUMBER(D5)
