Number to date conversion

In A1 I have 43244 Software Application. I want it to be 24/05/18 Software Application.

I thought combining TEXT and LEFT would work but it doesn't.

=REPLACE(A1,1,5,TEXT(LEFT(A1,5),"dd/mm/yy"))
