Using Excel to kick off a dB and Refresh tables that are Linked in Excel

Hi,

I am looking to use excel (preferably a button) to kick off a macro in access which in turn will then update tables in excel that are already linked to this dB. I have not found a good solution to this so far. Any help is appreciated.

The macro in Access will populate certain tables in Access which then are linked to Excel.
