This should be trivial but I can't do it!
I need to save my SmartArt Picture Org Chart (a Shape) as a PDF.
I have read suggestions of first copying it to a Chart, but sometimes the Chart is blank after I copy into it.
I can manually paste the shape into a Word document as a JPEG, Enhanced Metafile, etc. so I thought I would do that in code and then save the document as PDF.
But the Paste statement below causes the Word document to close (!)
Code:
ActiveSheet.Shapes(shp.Name).Copy
wdapp.Selection.Goto What:=wdGoToBookmark, Name:="Bookmark1"
wdapp.Selection.PasteSpecial Link:=False, dataType:=wdPasteEnhancedMetafile, Placement:=wdInLine, DisplayAsIcon:=False
Application.CutCopyMode = False
