So I have a pivot table and one column is years. Data starts with April 1, 2016 and goes through March 31, 2018. It has each month shown and then totals for each year. How can I replace those totals so that it shows per 12 month period instead?

So instead of 2016, 2017 and 2018 totals. I get a total for March 31, 2017 for the prior 12 months and March 31, 2018 for the prior 12 months?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Let me change the question slightly. How can I add subtotals to where I want in a pivot table. So in instance, I want to make column N a subtotal column that sums everything in B-M. Then Column AA will be another subtotal that sums everything from O-Z.
