I am trying to do a vlookup however the text in A1 has a space at the end of it whereas the vlookup text does not. Is there a formula to get rid of the space at the end of the text in A1 that I could write into B1?

Thanks!!

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Infact yes,

There are two options but I would suggest to use first option which is more secure:

1. Add a helper column next to your data and wrap your data with TRIM() function and and use this column in your VLOOKUP().

2. Way may mislead you if the data similar to eachother. Use wildcards"*" in your VLOOKUP() function:

=VLOOKUP("*"& A1 &"*",A2:B3,2,FALSE)
