Hi there,

I would like my drop down list to contain a detailed description of what the user is entering, but only return the numerical value.
On Sheet1, I would like dropdown list to appear in Cells F7-F99.
On Sheet2, I have my dropdown list information;
Column A Column B
1 0 0 - STD
2 1 1 - Receivable
3 8 8 - Exempt
4 9 9 - N/A

I would like the dropdown list description to show column B, but return what is in column A.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Opps, it deleted all my spaces. Hopefully below makes more sense..

............Column A.........Column B
Row 1....0.....................0 - STD
Row 2....1.....................1 - Receivable
Row 3....8.....................8 - Exempt
Row 4....9.....................9 -N/A
