Calculating % of Project Complete

I have a list of 10 tasks in column A.

Each of these 10 tasks is allocated varying percentages adding upto 100% of a project (column B). Ie. Task 1 represents 3% of the total project, task 2 represents 50% of the total project, etc.

In column C is the % complete or each task - for example 25% of task 1 is complete.

How do I calculate what percentae of the overall project is complete for each task in column D? I know the answer in my example for task 1 would be 0.75% but I dont know how to calculate this in excel.

Hope that make sense!

is it just the product of column B & C values?

so for row 2, cell D2 could have formula =B2*C2
or =PRODUCT(B2,C2)
or =PRODUCT(B2:C2)

OK?
