Hi,

I've created a drop-down list in my 'Summary' workbook based on the data in my 'Master' workbook - using a named range.

However, when this 'Master' is not open, the drop-down menu in the 'Summary' does not work.

Is there any way around this?

Thanks in advance
Ryan

I've had a go at your initial suggestion and done a little research myself - it seems to work with the below code.
However, how would I manipulate this code to:

1) Make it open automatically
2) Duplicate the macro to pull in data from a second tab in the Master and drop it in a second tab in the summary

Thanks

Sub GetDataClosedBook()

Dim src As Workbook
'location of the file and data to copy

Set src = Workbooks.Open("I:\Accounts\2018\Financial Reporting\BRD\NewRev\Data.xlsx", True, True)
'bring to this workbook

ThisWorkbook.Activate

Worksheets("Time").Range("A1:X15000").Formula = src.Worksheets("Time").Range("A1:X15000").Formula

src.Close False

End Sub
