I'm trying to have a cell count only cells within a range that has time only.

B7 = counting Cell or formula Cell
B7:Z7 = Check Range looking for text in a time format

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
These are text and not time? What format are they in, can you give examples?

B7 can't check B7, do you want the formula in B6 or do you want to check B8:B27?

If it is text, and contains ":" this will work

=COUNTIF(B8:B27,"*:*")

No, they have to be time format, because using this, I'm also going to do a sumif as well.

and Yes I made a mistake attempting to count b7

1. Is C7:Z7 populated by a formula, manually, vba or otherwise?
1a. If a formula what is the formula?

2. If cells in C7:Z7 do not contain a time, what do they contain? (eg Text, blank, numbers etc)

Edit: I think I misread the first post. You said "looking for text in a time format", so doesn't a COUNTIF formula like post 2 (with the correct target range) do what you want?
