trying to get my mind round using macro recorder to delete row but the problem I have is I want to delete a row with 8 columns but it is based on the data put in 1 cell, for example:-
a b c
1 3
2
3
4

delete the row with no3 in column a because the cell in column c contains the number 3(which is variable)
im presuming the only way to even start is to write the vba code, and im a total newby.

Hello,

There are many many examples available ...

Code:
[FONT=inherit]Sub Delete_Rows()
Dim lRow As Long
Dim i As Long
lRow = 20
For i = lRow To 1 Step -1
  If Cells(i, 3) = 3 Then Rows(iCntr).Delete
Next i
End Sub
[/FONT]

Hope this will help
