I'm looking for something similar to a dated if formula that would not only give me the number of months but the trailing days as well.

EXAMPLE:
11/23/2015 start date
11/30/2016 end date

Results would be something like 12.3 to account for the additional days.

Any ideas?

If your two dates are in cells A1 and A2, try this formula:
