hi All,

need a little help please.

in column A I have several different names, in column B I have a list of dates.

what I need to do is change the colour of the cell in column D using conditional formatting when the name (lets say David) appears next to a date that greater than 180 days.

I can get the cell to change based on the name alone however I cant get the date side to change so putting them together is defiantly looking like its going to fail.

any help would be appreciated

steve

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
greater than 180 days old yes?

in the conditional formatting section select new rule, then "Use a formula to determine which cells to format", the enter the below formula

<today()-180)
=AND(A2="David",B2 < TODAY()-180)
then pick your format, then apply it to the area you want.</today()-180)

Select D2 to the last row & use this formula
=AND(B2< TODAY()-180,A2="David")
