Display time as hhh:mm?

I have a cell pulling in data from elsewhere and converts to time in the custom format hh:mm.

However, these times are frequently over 100 hours so I really need in the format hhh:mm. However, this is not a format that is available under custom. How am I able to do this?

Where it says "Type:" in the format box, enter [h]:mm it will create the new custom type.
