I have a file of 160 golfers. There are 80 couples with varying levels of handicaps from as low as 4 to a high of 17. I want to be able to make 40 teams keeping the spouses together so that the resulting total handicaps per 4some is around 50. Unfortunately there are some couples that each have low handicaps and even pairing them with the highest couple with a 16 and a 17 will not be close to 50. There was a thread started in another section and a member was able to do some great work with it but says VBA code is required to do the job.
The file I will provide the link to has VBA code by another gentlemen that allowed me to make 40 teams with total handicaps close to 50 but it did not keep the spouses together. Maybe a good VBA coder can modify his code to generate the output I need ie 4somes keeping couples together with total handicaps as close as possible.
