Trying to locate Top 3 values, then display text from adjacent columns

Assuming the data below starts in column A. I'm trying to write a formula in rows 1-3 that will look in Column D, find the top 3 in rank, then provide the adjacent from in columns A,B,C,E, and F. Help?

Tiger	Woods	Golf	10	Birdie	Eagle
Michael	Jordan	Basketball	15	Dunk	Jumper
Babe	Ruth	Baseball	12	Homer	Double
Wayne	Gretzky	Hockey	11	Goal	Assist

Hi, welcome to the board.

Assuming there are no duplicate entries in column D . . .

You can use the LARGE function to identify the largest value, second largest, and so on.
For example
=LARGE(D1:D4,1)
=LARGE(D1:D4,2)

and so on.

Let's assume you put the first example of the above formula in cell G1.

You can then use a combination of INDEX and MATCH to return the corresponding data for the largest entry, and so on.
Like this for column A . . .
=INDEX(A1:A4,MATCH(G1,D1:D4,0))
Adapt this for the other columns as appropriate.
