Good evening guys,

This is my first post on forum and am looking forward to actively following threads.

I am trying to get my head aroung matching cells in a row held in say 3 separate columns (b1,c1,d1). The data in the cells will be held on two sheets. I am looking to try to match data in the 3 cells on both sheets. Sheet 1 will be library and sheet 2 checked against sheet 1 looking for duplications. When I use vlookup I will only definitely match the first cell to left.
Any ideas on simplest approach will be very welcome.

Thanks

Kev

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
countifs()

use in a conditional formatting formula
=Countifs(sheet1!B:B, sheet2!B1, sheet1!C:C, sheet2!C1, sheet1!D:D, sheet2!D1)>0
