Hi

I need to write a formula that says:

If cell H1 AND P1 both have something entered in them = False
If cell H1 AND P1 are both BLANK = FALSE
If cell H1 has something entered in it, but P1 is BLANK = TRUE

In the case of a False result, I will be just be returning a basic value, such as "Complete". In the case of a True result I will be running a basic formula (=A1-B1)

Is anyone able to assist me with this please? Many thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Hi Rick,
Sorry, I hadn't really thought of that because it wouldn't happen (shouldn't happen!). It means someone has filled the sheet in wrong. I would say a False should be returned
Thanks

This should do what you asked for...

=IF(AND(LEN(H1)>0,LEN(P1)=0),A1-B1,"Complete")
