Hello all,

from time to time, when searching for a cell value (text string or number) Excel's search function does not return anything although this cell value exists. It is really strange to me that Excel does not find it and I am wondering what I need to set it up differently. The option to search through the entire worksheet is already activated, although the value I am looking for (invoice numbers or amounts) reside in the sheet currently open. I switched from Search in Rows to Search in Columns which improved the result a little, but still Excel often cannot find what I am looking for. Besides, I do not know the difference between looking for something via rows and columns.

I am more than happy to hear about ideas and suggestion what I have to do differently

2. Click on Search icon
enter 1 (ie the number ONE) into the "Find What" box
click on Find All
there are lots of values to find

(If nothing is found, click on Options button in the search box and tell us what each option is set to)

3. Hopefully lots of items were found
now enter 1093.44 and click Find All - should find B4
