Hi,

In one of my workbooks, if I try to save it after changes, I am not prompted. The workbook just closes. There are no macros in the workbook.

How can I turn the prompt back on? I close the workbook and it just closes which is annoying.

Thanks

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Check if Alerts are ON.
Start VBE (Alt+F11)
Go to Immediate window (Ctrl+G)
type the following and Press Enter: ?Application.DisplayAlerts
if the result is FALSE then type the following and press Enter: Application.DisplayAlerts=True

The other option is to check in the same way if the Workbook has already been saved somehow before closing it.
?ThisWorkbook.Saved
If the result is True then the workbook has already been saved somehow and no prompt to save will popup.
