Hello,

Is there a way to keep a range of hyperlinks working on a protected sheet? I only want to select unlocked cells for protection please. This sheet is for filling out data so I want to keep the cursor in the unlocked region.

Thank you,
XJ

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Hyperlinks still work on a protected in locked or unlocked cells. Now, when you uncheck "Select Locked Cells" in the sheet protection dialog, things change. Only unlocked cells can be clicked or selected via keyboard, and locked hyperlink cells cannot be clicked.

Is that what you wanted?

I want to protect the sheet and only check "Select Unlocked Cells".

I also want the cells that have the hyperlinks to be locked so they cannot be edited but still have the function of hyperlinking.

Thanks

I'm wrong. Hyperlinks on protected sheets that are in locked cells can be clicked. I don't know why it didn't work the last time.

Jeff,

I locked the cells that have the hyperlinks. Then I protected the sheet and only selected the check box for "Select unlocked cells".

The hyperlinks don't work with these conditions.

Am I doing something wrong?

I found a way:

Data validation use custom and enter this formula:

<0>0

Then unlock these cells and protect the sheet.

I must have flipped to checking the Select Locked Cells

That option above is fine. It will restrict the user from entering anything into the cell. It won't prevent them from copying something into the cell.
