Does Excel have the option of freezing various cells, not just rows and columns? This way, as you move around the worksheet (cursor, tab, etc.) the active cell would always be in an unlocked location.

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
.
I don't know if what you ask is possible.

But ... you could freeze the top row/s and use a formula to display the contents of those various cells.

For example ? In A1 use the formula =F27 ; in B1 use the formula = G19 ; etc.

Not sure if I have understood you correctly, but if you protect the sheet with "Select locked cells" un-checked, you can only tab etc to un-locked cells.

Ahh, my bad. I see "tabbing" does what I had in mind. It would be nice if cursor/arrow did the same but this most certainly will work.

Sorry for being a pest...
