Hello,

I was wondering if it's possible to use Excel like Access. I created a sheet in excel that would be the input form and it also could go to other records.

If anyone has suggestions I will appreciate them.

Thanks XJ

You can create User Forms in Excel (see: https://www.contextures.com/xlUserForm01.html).
However, all things being equal, I find it MUCH easier to do in Access than Excel. In Excel, the forms are not bound to anything, so you have to create all the VBA code to connect the User Form to the worksheet.

You could also try to use a sheet as an entry Form, and then have VBA code do what you want to it/with it (via Command Buttons). You would just need to do a lot of work to that sheet to lock it down so users don't mess it up (by inserting, deleting, copying things they aren't supposed to).

There are just some things that Access handles better than Excel because that is what it was designed for (Access is a relational datbase program, Excel is not).

Thank you Joe. I was hoping because some computers here don't have Access.

Have you thought of putting the free Access Run-Time version on their computers?
If you are not familiar with that, Google "Microsoft Access Run-Time".

You are welcome.

I had to use it at my last job, as the company did not want to pay for the extra Access licenses.
