Hi All.
I simply want to create a drop down list with data validation

The list comes from a tab that is from name manager.
It is A3-A7,,, the list being;

NOT STARTED
IN PROGRESS
AWATING REPLY
COMPLETED

After the word COMPLETED is a cell with nothing in it.
When I go to insert the list (via name manager), it inserts the list, but doesn't show the last blank cell?
I've never had this problem before.
Here's a very short video to it;

After I've inserted the list,,, notice no white space after the word COMPLETED :(

Here's image of the dropdown cells that are used for the list

Does anyone have any idea why the last item in the list (which should be a blank cell) is not showing?

I can't work this out,,,
I'm confused.. help me please someone,,
It's doing my head in! :)

Many thanks
A very confused,

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hi Sahak,
Sorry, I was going to reply with your idea doesn't work, which it doesn't as I have a lot of spreadsheets with this ignore blanks still checked and the dropdowns work fine showing the blank cell.

It's so strange.

I've made a copy of my spreadsheet,, (resaved it) and re-entered name manager, resaved etc
Now it's working!!
I can't belive this.
I was on this for hrs yesterday..

I really don't know what has caused the issue.
But after a resave of spreadsheet it now works

Many thanks anyway for your suggestion.
Just a quirk of excel I think!!

Have a great day
So so strange......

Yours sincerely
a very happy (but still perplexed)
