Excel Opening

For some reason, my Excel 2016 (64bit Office Professional Plus) is acting funky- recently redownloaded (new SSD in computer)

1. Whenever I open a workbook, excel opens but there is no workbook loaded or spreadsheet for that matter- so once it's open I either have to open a new sheet or open a file again (from within excel) to actually load the file

2. Sometimes when running calcs after a macro has created a sheet, excel runs the formulas without a problem which will fill in data on other sheets and the screen glitches, having cells + buttons from other sheets showing up on the activesheet. a simple clicking to another sheet and back clears this. also- if I place a button on the active sheet that just sets screen updating to false and then true again this goes away.....why?

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
