I have three columns: I am trying to say:

If column B2 has a date then it should be subtracted by A2 but if B2 does not have a date then it should be subtract by today

I know the formulas separately but i cant seem to put them together

=TODAY()-A2))
= If(Isblank(B2), " ", A2-B2)

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Hi & welcome to MrExcel
Is this what you mean
=IF(B2="",TODAY()-A2,A2-B2)

That is fantastic! Now is there a way to take it one step further and say If the date is after todays date then value should be 0??

Just nest an IF, i.e.
Code:
[COLOR=#333333]=IF(B2>TODAY(),0,IF(B2="",TODAY()-A2,A2-B2))[/COLOR]
