Help with SUMIFS

Hi,

I have a SUMIFS formula which is working well with the exception of when the sumifs argument is false it returns 0.00 and I would like it to return a blank cell.

I am thinking an additional AND formula after the initial IF argument may be the way to go but I cant get the formula to work.

Essentially I am trying to get a sub total of the values (column E) per individual date (column A) where the text (column C) matches my two criteria.

Formula is in column K and, two example cells which show 0.00 instead of being blank are K15 & K21, any suggestions?

=IF(A12<a13,sumifs($e$11:e37,$a$11:a37,a12,$c$11:c37,"*green*",$c$11:c37,"*black*"),"")

I have an example to ss to attach but I'm not sure how I do this?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi, you could try something like:

<a13,if(countifs($a$11:a37,a12,$c$11:c37,"*green*",$c$11:c37,"*black*"),sumifs($e$11:e37,$a$11:a37,a12,$c$11:c37,"*green*",$c$11:c37,"*black*"),""),"")
=IF(A12 < A13,IF(COUNTIFS($A$11:A37,A12,$C$11:C37,"*green*",$C$11:C37,"*black*"),SUMIFS($E$11:E37,$A$11:A37,A12,$C$11:C37,"*green*",$C$11:C37,"*black*"),""),"")
Or you could simply use a custom number format to hide the zeros.</a13,if(countifs($a$11:a37,a12,$c$11:c37,"*green*",$c$11:c37,"*black*"),sumifs($e$11:e37,$a$11:a37,a12,$c$11:c37,"*green*",$c$11:c37,"*black*"),""),"")
