I am attempting to create an autofill table using VLOOKUP. I have created column J and used VBA code to create a multi pick list. I am using the below function in the table to the right of column J.

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP($J8,tbl_items,COLUMNS('Item-Function Chart '!$D9:'Item-Function Chart '!D9)+3,0),"")

This formula works great when only one item is selected in column J, however, when multiple item are selected in column J the cells do not fill since the VLOOKUP look up value is an absolute. Is it possible to have the look up value be apartial requirement? For instance, if J8has 1 and 2, can I create the formulate to look for row 1 and row 2 in the document?

If this is possible, I would like to merge the two rows intoone. The rows consist of a series of columnswith either no value or X in them. Iwould like the merge the rows to include an X if it exists in either row 1 orrow 2. Is this possible?
