Hello!

Why dragging =COLUMNS($C$11:C11) from C11 does not create a sequence of 1,2,3,.. but instead creates 1,1,1,..?

thanks!

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Are you dragging down, or across? Only the latter will work.

Across.
Is there an option in Excel that interferes?

It is very strange.

Generating =COLUMNS($C$10:D10) from =COLUMNS($C$10:C10) results in 1.
Typing =COLUMNS($C$10:D10) in another cell results in 2.

That's very strange!

It sounds like you have calculation set to manual.
