Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Generally speaking, if the application will open in W10 then it will work as desigined up to the point of saving the file. Since xl2002 only has a 3 digit file extension and a different file format from those Excel versions starting with xl2007, you will need to specifiy the file format when saving your files so Excel knows how to handle it.

Please read Mr Excel's policy on Cross-Posting in rule 13: http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/board-announcements/99490-forum-rules.html

Note: Being able to install & run Office 2002 is an entirely separate issue from whether it can handle the newer file formats - which it can't without also installing the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=33298. Accordingly, the advice in post 2 is a serious misdirection in that regard. Even with the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack installed, the later file formats may open but much of their functionality will be lost.
