Referencing a list of folders and pulling a workbook

I have a list of file names in my workbook. They are all in the same file, but when the file is open it display the files in my workbook. I am trying to make a function that will path to those files and pull a certain cell in each one. Is there a way to make a function to be able to drag down referencing a certain cell from those files. The cell will change over time. So something like =D:\Documents"A2"

A2 being the referred cell.
