i just need greater verierty in the fills i am using in excels for categories. also to have thing that catch the eye. like if i could fill a cell with red question marks. is that possible?

My Excel skills are not sufficient to say one way or the other with actual cells. However, you can import a background for SmartArt objects found in the Insert Menu, and an individual SmartArt object can be sized to fit into a cell and be moved and sized with that cell if the correct option is selected.
