Hi,
I have a spread sheet that has the "date" and "volume" in the same row for a market going from newest to oldest. I want to somehow build a driver that i can change the look back but say i want to see listed the top "10" or "20" or "25" highest volume days, how can I do this? As you can see i want to be able to change how many "x" days the formula lists or conditionally highlights.

Thanks

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
If I have understood you correctly you have column A with a date, column B with a volume and you want to just see the rows with the highest volume.

I'd use the RANK formula for this:

=RANK(B2,B:B)

copy the formula down the column, and put a filter on the tab then you can select the data you want.

If your data is as shown in the following figure.
You can put in cell C1 the desired number 7,10,20,30, etc.

<table border="1" cellspacing="0" style="font-family:Calibri,Arial; font-size:11pt; background-color:#ffffff; "> <colgroup><col style="font-weight:bold; width:30px; " /><col style="width:76.04px;" /><col style="width:76.04px;" /><col style="width:76.04px;" /></colgroup><tr style="background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; font-weight:bold; font-size:8pt; "><td > </td><td >A</td><td >B</td><td >C</td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >1</td><td style="font-weight:bold; text-align:center; ">DATE</td><td style="font-weight:bold; text-align:center; ">VOLUME</td><td style="font-weight:bold; text-align:center; ">7</td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >2</td><td style="text-align:right; ">24-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">2</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >3</td><td style="text-align:right; ">23-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">4</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >4</td><td style="text-align:right; ">22-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">5</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >5</td><td style="text-align:right; ">21-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">1</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >6</td><td style="text-align:right; ">20-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">7</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >7</td><td style="text-align:right; ">19-jun</td><td style="background-color:#92d050; text-align:right; ">9</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >8</td><td style="text-align:right; ">18-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">1</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >9</td><td style="text-align:right; ">17-jun</td><td style="background-color:#92d050; text-align:right; ">10</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >10</td><td style="text-align:right; ">16-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">1</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >11</td><td style="text-align:right; ">15-jun</td><td style="background-color:#92d050; text-align:right; ">25</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >12</td><td style="text-align:right; ">14-jun</td><td style="background-color:#92d050; text-align:right; ">8</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >13</td><td style="text-align:right; ">13-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">6</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >14</td><td style="text-align:right; ">12-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">2</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >15</td><td style="text-align:right; ">11-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">3</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >16</td><td style="text-align:right; ">10-jun</td><td style="background-color:#92d050; text-align:right; ">15</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >17</td><td style="text-align:right; ">09-jun</td><td style="background-color:#92d050; text-align:right; ">20</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >18</td><td style="text-align:right; ">08-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">3</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >19</td><td style="text-align:right; ">07-jun</td><td style="background-color:#92d050; text-align:right; ">18</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >20</td><td style="text-align:right; ">06-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">1</td><td > </td></tr><tr style="height:19px ;" ><td style="font-size:8pt; background-color:#cacaca; text-align:center; " >21</td><td style="text-align:right; ">05-jun</td><td style="text-align:right; ">2</td><td > </td></tr></table>

In the conditional format, put the following formula:
=$B2 > = K.ESIMO.MAYOR($B$2:$B$21,$C$1)

In Applies To:
=$B$2:$B$21
