Hey guys always such great help :)

Had a question that i could not find on the web:

I have a table with the auto fill function on which is great, however this is just one column that i would like to disable the auto fill function.

Is there a way to do this?

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Formula autofill is either ON or OFF for all columns
Chnging Excel Table auto-behaviour is sometimes a bit challenging
And (annoyingly) auto-behaviour seems to vary slightly between versions
It also varies depending on the sequence in which things are done

Let's say I want column F to NOT autofill

EXPLANATION

Option 1 - THIS DOES NOT WORK (I have included something that does not work because this is the current status of YOUR table)
- create a range with headers in row 1
- add a mixture of data & formulas in row 2 including a formula in column F
- Insert \ Table
- add data in rows below

It makes no difference what I try to do in column F
- Excel ALWAYS insists on autofilling - I cannot alter its behaviour
- I even tried deleting ALL rows (except the header row) and Excel still remembered ALL formulas and autofilled

Option 2 - THIS WORKS FOR ME
- create a range with headers in row 1
- add a mixture of data & formulas in row 2 with text in column F
- Insert \ Table
- add data in rows below

Now column F does not autofill

SUGGESTED SOLUTION
Create a NEW table from scratch headers and 1 row of data with text in the "Offending" column before converting the range to a table
