Hi,

I am pulling information from one tab of a workbook to another (tab1 and tab2). I'm using a basic formula (=Tab!A1), but if A1 is blank I would this formula to return an empty result instead of #N/A.

Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You can use conditional formatting for that. What version of Excel are you using?

Actually, maybe you can help me with a more complicated version with a vlookup involved? Here's the formula:

=IF(VLOOKUP(B5,[BeerDatabase1.xlsx]Sheet1!$A$3:$L$27256,12,FALSE)="","",VLOOKUP(B5,[BeerDatabase1.xlsx]Sheet1!$A$3:$L$27256,12,FALSE))

If B5 is blank, then the value in the cell where this formula exists should turn up empty, but I'm still getting an #N/A

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B5,[BeerDatabase1.xlsx]Sheet1!$A$3:$L$27256,12,FALSE),"")
