Hello,

Im looking for a way to generate random numbers when my standard deviation and mean are fix.
So i used google and YouTube and there are many tutorials. (Like this: https://www.extendoffice.com/documents/excel/2472-excel-random-number-mean-standard-deviation.html )

The problem is: every time i use the recommended formula: norminv(rand(), and try to select the mean and sd...excel tells me that there is a problem with this formula.

I don't know how to fix it. Can you help me please?

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.

Hi, welcome the forum! Are your regional settings maybe expecting a semi-colon as the list separator?
If so try replacing all instances of , with ;
