Hi,

I have a spreadsheet with some formulas in to represent a receipt.

I want to be able to lock the cells with formulas. I think this is easy enough.

My trouble is I want to lock some cells to accounting GBP currency. basically so a figure can be entered but so that somebody cannot delete this form. Can this be done. When ever I lock it I can't seem to change anything.

I'm just worried when somebody uses it to enter a figure if using an old receipt as a template they may delete the cell to put a new figure in. Problem is it then deletes the accounting format.....

Any help is much appreciated.

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
The validation function doesn't allow you to stop people from clicking in the cell and hitting delete (and it deleting the accounting format).... Not unless I'm missing something?
