Hello,
I'm not finding the answer I'm looking for.

I would like to use conditional formatting for a row B6:F31. Looking for if cell B is less than or equal to today's date then color the row using conditional formatting.

I'm not having luck to get this to work. I also display the current date in cell: P50, I have tried to do if B is less than or equal to P50 but could not get that to work. P50 is formatted as mm/dd/yyyy and column B is formatted as ddd mm/dd/yyyy.

Thanks,
Bdenn

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Are the values in col B actual dates, or text?

Assuming your dates in col B are numbers not text try:
1. Select B6:F31
2. Home>Conditional Formatting>New Rule>Use a formula
3. Formula is: =$B6<=$P$50
4. Choose format and press OK

Formatted as Dates both areas not formatted as text.
Then JoeMo's solution should work for you.

Thank you!!! This worked correctly for me!

Hello Again.
Using this same solution above that works how do I deal with this on a cell in B that is empty? I do not want the conditional formatting to work for that.

Thanks,
Bdenn

Try
=AND($B6<=$P$50,$B6<>"")
