How can i set up the conditional formatting based on the color of the cell rather than the numbers .

Thank you for answering

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
Open Name manager > New > give it a name (IsColoured for this example) > in the "Refers to" box put
=GET.CELL(63,INDIRECT("RC",FALSE))
and then in CF use a formula like
=IsColoured=3

The workbook needs to be saved as macro enabled.

If the colour has been set by Condtional Formatting then just use the same condition that set the colour in the first place.
If it's been set manually then you can't, you have to use VBA.

Did I read somewhere that a recent version of Excel could read the colour of a cell?
Perhaps I'm thinking of Condtional Formatting referring to other sheets that didn't used to work (only on Named Ranges)?

Well, the cell is not colored by CF, it is colored by the macro (button to color the selected cell). IDK if excel consider that as a manual or no.

My point here is, I want the CF to check the 4 cell (Eg: a1,a2,a3,a4) if (>=2) cells is of the same color then the CF should display the same color in cell eg: C1

No, that is not something that can be done with CF.

Modify your existing macro to check if the criteria is met & colour the cell.
