Hi,

I have data in a table that has a range of numbers in col A and various names in Col B. I'm trying to get a formula to check through a column of numbers find the numbers that are less than 5000 and return the name in the adjoining cell from the same row and create a list of the those names. I had one working that was matching to 5000 but when I inserted the "<" it failed.

It doesn't seem like it should be that hard and I would have thought it was relatively common but I haven't found anything other than matching.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
How about
=IFERROR(INDEX($B$2:$B$8,AGGREGATE(15,6,(ROW($B$2:$B$8)-ROW($B$2)+1)/($A$2:$A$8<5000),ROWS($A$1:$A1))),"")
