Finding & Selecting Date / Freeze Panes

In cell H3 I have a list of dates from a drop down list / data validation.

In column A there is a long list of dates starting in row 5 all the way down to row 838. Panes are frozen starting with row 5 so when you scroll, rows 1-4 are the only ones that stay (and don't scroll).

What I want to do is when someone selects the date in cell H3, that date (from column A) pulls up right under row 4.

I'm sure I'll need to use VBA for this, but any help with the code would be appreciated.

Thank you!

JB

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
I am not entirely sure what you mean by "when someone selects the date in cell H3", but see if this event code does what you want...
Code:
[table="width: 500"]
[tr]
	[td]Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
  If Target.Address(0, 0) = "H3" Then
    ActiveWindow.ScrollRow = Columns("A").Find(Range("H3").Value, Range("A4"), xlValues, xlWhole, , xlNext, , , False).Row
  End If
End Sub[/td]
[/tr]
[/table]

HOW TO INSTALL Event Code
------------------------------------
If you are new to event code procedures, they are easy to install. To install it, right-click the name tab at the bottom of the worksheet that is to have the functionality to be provided by the event code and select "View Code" from the popup menu that appears. This will open up the code window for that worksheet. Copy/Paste the event code into that code window. That's it... the code will now operate automatically when its particular event procedure is raised by an action you take on the worksheet itself. Note... if you are using XL2007 or above, make sure you save your file as an "Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook (*.xlsm) and answer the "do you want to enable macros" question as "yes" or "OK" (depending on the button label for your version of Excel) the next time you open your workbook.
